Recently I decided to expand my programs , make a transition and take into account my corporate experience,so as to be of service in entrepreneurial world , especially for mompreneurs because I just love working with them, I totally can relate to their lifestyle, dreams, struggles , time management issues .
So in my corporate job my main responsibility was to work on cash flow forecast reports and then take the actual numbers and turn them into the next cash flow report for 3 months ahead.This is the most important report for a small businees owner . Of course a small business owner has to work on an initial 12 months Cash flow report , and from there create quarterly reports .
At the beginning of my transition I made a research on how mompeneurs are managing their business finances and most of them are working with a bookkeeper , and that’s so necessary but there has nothing to do with the visionary cash flow reports .In my corporate there was a whole team of accountants , but another team for cash flow forecast reports was crucial for the planning of the business.
A bookkeeper is looking at everything that already happened and they assign properly all the transactions in a bookkeeping software .And this is important for paying taxes .But a cash flow report informs you how much is needed for the business to be sustainable and plan ahead for future needs , investments and the business survival .
In my Cash flow programs I was inspired by the book “Profit first” and I made some tweaks to be more useful and I provide a holistic support for business and personal budgeting , based on a model which take into consideration the sales cycle and have a strategy to hit those goals.
It is very important to separate your business finances from your personal finances .Do not treat your sales as pocket money . You pay yourself after paying your taxes and your business expenses .
Cash flow reports are in no way restrictive, they are the beautiful visionary tools to have a picture of the future .
